The part an award search does not show

Award space and upgrade space are separate inventory pools on the same flight. A seat you book outright with miles is not the seat a certificate clears into, and a flight can have one without the other. 2LNR carries both on one calendar: award seats on more than 20 airlines, and American systemwide, Delta Global and Regional Upgrade Certificate and Alaska first-class certificate space. If you hold certificates, that second pool is the one that decides your year, and an award search will never show it to you.

Where the coverage stops

Coverage is more than 20 airlines, a specific list rather than every airline in the world. It does not include United, Air Canada, Lufthansa or British Airways, so if Star Alliance award space or BA Avios space is the reason you are here, this is not your tool and we would rather you knew now. It also shows flights each carrier actually operates, including its own regional affiliates, rather than partner-operated codeshares, because the award seats on those belong to the operating carrier. If your route runs on an airline outside the list, 2LNR will not have it, and we would rather say so on this page than have you find out after you sign up. Which airlines are covered, and which are not?
More than 20 airlines, including American, Delta, Alaska, JetBlue, Air France, KLM, Japan Airlines, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines. It does not include United, Air Canada, Lufthansa or British Airways, so if Star Alliance award space or BA Avios space is the reason you are here, this is not your tool and we would rather you knew now. The matrix also sticks to flights the selected airline actually operates, including its own regional affiliates, because award seats on a partner-operated codeshare are the operating carrier's to release.
Can I see award space and upgrade space in one place?
Yes, and that is the part most award search tools leave out. The same calendar carries American systemwide upgrade space, Delta Global and Regional Upgrade Certificate space and Alaska first-class certificate space alongside award availability, so a route you are considering shows both pools at once. Do I still have to search one route and date at a time?
No, that is the whole reframe. The matrix puts flights down one axis and dates across the other, so a month of departures on a route is one read rather than thirty searches. Most award trips move by a day or two anyway, so the useful question is almost never about a single date. The first 14 days are free with an account, and Pro extends the same view out to 331 days, which reaches the far edge where a lot of long-haul premium space is released when the schedule loads.
What happens when space opens after I look?
That is the normal case, and it is what alerts are for. Set an alert on the route, the dates and the cabin, and 2LNR tells you by email, SMS, in-app or push when matching space appears, instead of you re-running the same search every evening. You get unlimited alert rules on Pro, so there is no reason to ration them across your routes. Alerts are a Pro feature; the free plan does not include them.
