2LNR lays confirmed upgrade availability on American, Delta and Alaska out as a calendar heatmap for a month, a flight table for a route, and the route map's 12-month calendar for a year.

A single flight with space is useful. Tuesday departures on DFW-LHR staying green across the whole winter is something you can plan a year around. If Tuesday and Wednesday departures on your route keep showing green while Friday is always striped, move your travel day. If shoulder-season months show far more availability than peak summer, travel then. Availability shifts between peak summer, holiday windows and shoulder seasons, and once the months sit side by side the pattern is visible by inspection, no spreadsheet required.
The same goes for cabins and hubs. Switching between business and first shows where the two cabins diverge, and some hubs consistently show more business-class space than others: comparing DFW-LHR against CLT-LHR might show one of them is the better positioning flight. On Pro, upgrade alerts can watch both routes daily.
This matters most if you have systemwide upgrades, Global Upgrade Certificates or Alaska certs to place as an Executive Platinum, Diamond Medallion or Atmos Platinum, or if your dates can move a day or two.
