Real-time alerts

Real-time upgrade alerts: be ready when space opens

Upgrade space opens and closes without warning. A business-class seat can appear at 2 PM and vanish by 4 PM, and without alerts the only way to catch it is refreshing manually every few hours. 2LNR monitors American, Delta and Alaska for you and sends a notification the moment availability changes.

2LNR alerts fire when tracked upgrade or award space changes, delivered by email, SMS, in-app, and push. You pick the route, dates, and upgrade type; 2LNR checks continuously and notifies you while the seat is still there. Alert rules are part of Pro, with no cap on how many you run.

You can't watch every flight all day

Upgrade inventory shifts constantly as the airline reprices and reallocates seats. The question is whether you catch the window.

Manual monitoring

  • Check the airline app multiple times per day for each flight you care about
  • Space often opens 2-3 days before departure — right when you are busiest with pre-trip logistics
  • No way to know if availability changed five minutes after your last check
  • If you are monitoring more than two or three flights, the manual effort becomes unsustainable
  • Miss a window and wait another day — or the rest of the booking period — for space to reappear

2LNR alerts

  • Define the route, date range, cabin class, and upgrade type you want to monitor
  • Receive an email, SMS, in-app, or push notification the moment matching inventory appears
  • Alerts fire on segment-level changes, not aggregated itinerary guesses
  • Monitor dozens of flights simultaneously without any manual effort
  • Act within minutes of an opening — before other travelers notice the same space

Alerts built for upgrade hunters

Granular controls so you get signal, not noise.

Custom alert rules

Set alerts by specific route pair, date range, cabin, and upgrade type. Want to know when upgrade space opens on DFW-LHR between March 10-15? One alert covers all flights in that window.

Every channel

Email, SMS, in-app, and push — enable any mix. Each notification names the flight, segment, cabin, and current seat count, so you can act without opening the app first.

Segment-level triggers

Alerts fire when a specific segment changes, not when a vague itinerary-level estimate shifts. If JFK-LHR opens upgrade space but DFW-JFK does not, you see exactly which leg changed.

Price & schedule watches

Fare drops, retimes, and equipment swaps ride the same alert engine. Watch a route's price or keep tabs on your booked flight's schedule — one place, one inbox.

Multi-flight monitoring

Track availability across dozens of flights with independent alerts. Perfect for flexible travelers who can shift dates by a day or two to catch confirmed space.

Pause and resume

Traveling and do not want notifications? Pause an alert without deleting it. Resume monitoring with a single tap when you are ready to act again.

Who uses upgrade alerts

Executive Platinum, Diamond Medallion & MVP Gold holders

You're holding systemwide upgrades, Global or Regional Upgrade Certificates, or Alaska certs. Set alerts on your upcoming flights so you know the instant upgrade space opens — then confirm your certificate before the seats fill.

Points & miles strategists

You are watching upgrade availability to decide whether to buy a fare and upgrade or book an award ticket instead. Alerts let you wait for the right moment without obsessively checking.

Frequently asked questions

What types of upgrade changes trigger an alert?
Alerts fire when availability changes for the upgrade type and cabin you chose — for example when a segment goes from sold out to open with confirmable space, when the seat count moves, or when space closes again. You choose which changes matter to you when you create the alert.
How quickly are alerts delivered after availability changes?
There is no fixed delivery window, and we would rather say so than promise one. 2LNR scans upgrade and award availability continuously, around the clock, rather than on a once-a-day check, and an alert goes out on the next evaluation pass after a scan observes the change on your route and date — in practice within minutes of that scan, not hours. How often a given route and date is scanned varies with the route and with how close departure is, so treat it as a range rather than a guarantee. When you want one specific flight confirmed at this exact moment, click Update data on it in the upgrade matrix; that re-checks the flight in real time.
Can I set alerts for routes I haven't booked yet?
Yes. Alerts are not tied to a specific booking or reservation. You can monitor any covered route (American, Delta, or Alaska) and date combination regardless of whether you have purchased a ticket. This is useful for finding confirmed space before you commit to buying.
How many alerts can I have active at once?
As many as you like on Pro: unlimited alert rules, with no per-route or per-rule budget, so watching thirty date ranges costs the same as watching three. Manage, pause, or delete them anytime from your alerts. Pro is $175 a year or $50 a quarter. The free plan does not include alert rules — it covers the 14-day upgrade matrix for American, Delta and Alaska, up to 3 saved routes, mailbox trip import and loyalty tracking, at $0 with no credit card. Full details on the pricing page.
Do alerts work for connecting itineraries or just nonstop flights?
Alerts operate at the segment level. For a connecting itinerary, you set individual alerts for each segment. This gives you precise control — you might only care about the long-haul leg, not the short domestic connection.
